Dorieke Schreurs makes beautiful pieces of handmade natural soap with added local pigments. For example, the very nourishing soap with Limburg Loess pigment, or mesh clay. But also a soft scrub soap with marl or a unique red ocher soap is sometimes available. These soaps are sold at D’O studio-gallery, but by popular request there is a workshop on the event agenda for the coming exhibition period.
During this demonstration workshop you will receive an explanation about the materials, ingredients and manufacturing processes of this natural soap based on organic olive oil. A large batch of basic soap is made during the workshop. The participants can then add fragrance and pigment to their own part of the batch. The soap is poured into molds that the participants take home.
Every participant goes home with the knowledge to make this natural soap at home and of course with some soaps.
