Especially for this summer period, Dorieke Schreurs, as an introduction to D’O studio-gallery and Campus Heerdeberg, has developed a program of 4 masterclasses on art, nature and sustainability. Get to know her unique expertise on local geology, natural pigments, paint making and painting with this natural  paint.

These Masterclasses can be followed separately, or as a strengthening addition to each other in a cycle.

The masterclasses are in line with Dorieke’s work as a creator and researcher, focusing on the relationship between man and nature, sustainable material development and cradle-to-cradle work.


Masterclass 4:  Workshop painting with natural pigments; tempera technique

This masterclass is an introduction to making and painting with tempera paint based on natural pigments. You will get information about the origin of the tempera technique, the necessities. The emphasis of this introduction workshop is on getting acquainted with the tempera paint and experimenting with material, the visual aspect is subordinate. This makes the workshop suitable for participants with and without painting experience.

Further essentials: Make sure you wear clothing that may get dirty.

Each masterclas has a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 15 participants.

Landgoed Heerdeberg has enugh space to observe social distancing and we will observe all current COVID-19 regulations.
