Making art with and in nature (6-12y)
Dorieke Schreurs has developed a workshop around LandArt within the context of themes such as sustainability, landscape perception, nature, litter and transience. This means that the children will make art on site from natural materials. This ties in with her work as a visual artist and researcher, with a focus on sustainability and working cradle-to-cradle.
The children are challenged in this workshop to look differently at natural materials and their own living environment. They also learn the difference between leaving behind perishable materials and litter.
Using examples from landart artist Andy Goldsworthy and a short instruction, the children (in groups or individually) get to work on their own Landart artwork. The artworks are digitally recorded.
